Parking Privilege Agreement
Parking on the Hillsboro High School campus is a privilege, not a right. The administration reserves the right to suspend or revoke any student's parking privileges at any time, with or without prior notice, when deemed necessary for safety, security, or disciplinary reasons.
By obtaining and using a parking permit or assigned parking space on campus, students agree to comply with all school rules, policies, and expectations outlined below.
Parking Regulations
1. Assigned Parking Spaces
- Students must park only in their assigned parking space.
- Parking in any space other than the one assigned to the student is prohibited unless prior approval has been granted by school administration.
- Unauthorized use of another student's parking space may result in disciplinary action and/or loss of parking privileges.
2. Safe Vehicle Operation
- All vehicles must be operated in a safe and responsible manner while on school property.
- Reckless driving, excessive speed, burnouts, racing, unsafe maneuvers, or any other dangerous vehicle operation is strictly prohibited.
3. Parking Conduct
- Vehicles must be parked within designated parking lines and in a manner that does not obstruct traffic, pedestrians, or other vehicles.
- Inappropriate parking practices may result in disciplinary action.
4. Noise Violations
- Excessive engine noise, exhaust noise, revving of engines, loud stereos, or any other vehicle-related noise that disrupts the school environment is prohibited.
5. Parking Permit Display Requirements
- Students must properly display the parking sticker issued by the Hillsboro High School office at all times while parked on campus.
- The parking sticker must be affixed to the lower left corner (driver's side) of the vehicle windshield and remain clearly visible.
- Parking stickers are assigned to individual students and may not be transferred, shared, altered, or duplicated.
- Failure to properly display a valid parking sticker may result in disciplinary action, suspension or revocation of parking privileges, or other consequences as determined by school administration.
Disciplinary Consequences
Violations of this agreement may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to:
- Warning(s)
- Temporary suspension of parking privileges
- Permanent revocation of parking privileges
- School disciplinary consequences in accordance with the Student Handbook
- Other consequences as determined by school administration
The administration retains sole discretion in determining appropriate disciplinary action based on the nature and severity of the violation.
Student Acknowledgment
By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read and understand the Hillsboro High School Student Parking Permit and Parking Privilege Agreement. I understand that parking on campus is a privilege and that failure to comply with these rules may result in the suspension or revocation of my parking privileges and other disciplinary consequences.
